A bit of a sort-out of the files, which have once again become a total mess. Found 10 years' worth of payslips from Handcart Towers plus various letters from the loathsome management, tooth-sucking and finger-steepling in tone as they set about the place with their chainsaws in the name of...well, not good sub-editing. They'll get their comeuppance yet, I really believe that and fervently desire it. Also tons of stuff relating to River Terrace - purchase, letting out and sale of.
There is still a drawer to go through but already a pile of stuff to be shredded is heaped on the floor with all the corners where there were staples torn off for throwing out, along with the windows from letters. I must be a bit more thorough about opening post: found unopened credit card statements from a couple of years ago, for God's sake.
The ideal situation - quite close to it now - is to keep the papers down to the absolute minimum. A file for work, a file for money, a file for family stuff, the Book Of Death - will, where to find passwords for accounts and so forth.
